Hudspeth VINELink Is Now IVSS
Texas changed its county notification service on September 1, 2025. The Texas Attorney General's transition notice identifies Texas IVSS-Counties as the current county system and says existing VINE registrations migrated. Users were prompted to update passwords, and notices can use text, call, or email. “VINELink Texas” remains a familiar search phrase, but it is no longer the right current brand or interface.
The official transition notice is pictured below. It is the controlling source for the service change and prevents old VINE directions from being repeated as though they still apply.
County notifications now belong in IVSS-Counties. TDCJ custody and parole notices belong in the separate TDCJ IVSS system.
Hudspeth County IVSS Coverage
Coverage cannot be promised for Hudspeth County Jail. In the August 2026 review, the jail was absent from the county portal's affirmative “SAVNS Online Counties/Jails” list. The list is continually updated and warns that it does not reflect offline agencies. That caveat prevents a claim that Hudspeth never participates, but the current absence means a user must not rely on IVSS as the only county-jail check.
The IVSS-Counties FAQ and coverage list documents accepted identifiers, notification channels, and participating online agencies. Its captured screen appears below. Check the live list each time, because coverage can change after publication.
If Hudspeth remains absent or no person appears, call the jail at (915) 369-2161 and request the movement or release record. A portal gap is not evidence of release.
Search a Hudspeth Custody Event
The county portal accepts a full or partial name, DOC ID, SID, jail ID, or permanent booking number. Name guidance supports first and last names and a partial-name technique. Use an identifier when possible, then compare secondary details before opening a result. The search concerns people currently in custody or under supervision; someone no longer in custody may disappear from results.
- Open the official Texas IVSS-Counties portal.
- Select county custody and Hudspeth only if the live agency list offers it.
- Search by an exact agency identifier or a careful name variation.
- Compare the supplying agency and displayed identifiers.
- Record the status, event type, and event date.
- Call the jail to separate community release from transfer.
The live county portal is shown in the image below. It is an event and notification layer, not the Hudspeth court file or a permanent former-inmate archive.
A released event should be saved with its date and agency. Then compare it with the sheriff's movement record and any receiving system identified by the jail.
Hudspeth IVSS Search Fields
IVSS is not a full criminal case database. The county portal says it does not receive county-jail charge information or court-system dates. Those limitations matter when a person wants to know why custody ended or what happened to a charge.

A release event does not tell the whole legal story. Hudspeth's clerk docket can show bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, or another signed order, while the jail record can supply the physical movement time and destination. IVSS does not replace either source.
Register for Hudspeth Release Alerts
Anyone may register through the county portal and may do so anonymously or by creating an account for customized delivery. At least one contact method is needed: email, phone, text, or TTY. Registration help is available around the clock at (866) 268-8959. A registration may stay active after a person disappears from public results and can reactivate if that person returns to custody.
- Open the correct person or custody event.
- Choose the portal's notification action.
- Select an offered delivery channel.
- Complete the live verification, consent, or password prompts.
- Save the confirmation and review preferences.
- Keep direct agency contacts as a backup.
Do not add a fixed four-digit PIN step. That instruction belongs to legacy VINE material and is not established for the replacement county platform. The live screen controls. TDCJ phone alerts may use a PIN until acknowledged or stopped, but the source does not support a universal PIN length, and that state-prison rule must not be attributed to IVSS-Counties.
Hudspeth TDCJ Release Notifications
A Hudspeth conviction that leads to state prison moves the person outside county custody. The correct notification route is TDCJ IVSS, used for TDCJ custody and parole events. Search by name, SID number, or TDCJ number. An offender detail may include expected and actual release dates. Subscription steps can ask relationship or participation questions and allow event-by-event methods.
The separate TDCJ portal is pictured below. Keeping it distinct from IVSS-Counties prevents a county bond release from being mistaken for a state-prison discharge.
TDCJ notifications may cover parole eligibility, Board decisions, release, and discharge. A projected date is not a promise, and parole is supervised release rather than sentence completion.
Why Texas Replaced VINELink
The switch from VINE to Texas IVSS-Counties is more than a name change. Existing registrations were moved, users faced a password update, and notices could come from a different provider. Old search results can still rank highly, so Hudspeth County readers need the legacy term to find the subject and the new term to reach the correct service.
This transition also explains why fixed instructions age badly. Use the live portal's confirmation behavior, offered channels, and agency list. Do not copy an old PIN rule or promise that a migrated alert remains correctly configured. Verify contact preferences and retain the new confirmation.
Note: The September 2025 transition affects county notices, while TDCJ keeps its own prison and parole IVSS portal.
Confirm Hudspeth Release Results
IVSS does not cover all custody classes. A county result may represent transfer rather than freedom. A no-result may reflect Hudspeth's current coverage gap, an identity mismatch, delayed agency data, or the person's departure from public results. Start with the full Hudspeth release search, then ask the jail for the movement record and compare the court docket.

The BOP locator can show “Released” or “Not in BOP custody,” but the latter does not prove freedom. ICE's locator may include a person released from ICE custody only within its limited window. Neither federal system proves resolution of a Hudspeth county charge. Notifications are prompts to verify the underlying event, not substitutes for the originating record.
Review Hudspeth Alert Details
Save the agency name, person identifier, event label, event date, and message delivery time. Those values answer different questions. A delayed text does not change the underlying event time, and an “advance release” notice is not the same as an actual release event. If an alert says transfer, ask which custodian received the person.
Delivery can fail because of contact settings, carrier filtering, an old migrated account, or agency data timing. Check preferred hours and blackout dates in the live account, update migrated credentials, and retain the registration confirmation. Direct calls and official records remain the fallback when an expected alert never arrives.
Match Hudspeth IVSS Identities
Use two identifiers before treating an alert as a match. Full names can repeat, aliases may appear, and dates can belong to different events. A jail ID or permanent booking number is stronger than a name alone. For TDCJ, prefer the SID or TDCJ number. Keep the supplying agency attached to every saved result.
If the portal and jail disagree, ask each record owner about its own field. Do not edit one system's meaning to force agreement. The likely answer may be an update lag, a transfer, or two records for people with similar names. A correction request should name the disputed value and include reliable identity or court material.
